We have identified a need for a residential school for underprivileged children with families below the poverty line. The need transpired when children were no longer able to attend school after fifth standard due to the location of their secondary school. The school is located fifteen kilometers outside of the area. This has resulted in a barrier in their education which is rarely resolved. A risk of child labor is often a result of this barrier.

Our latest project is Abilashrayam Centre for learning; which will support and educate children in rural villages of Thamballapalli Mandal, Chittoor District, A.P. The literacy rate is less than 20% in this area which drastically needs to be improved to ensure a stable future for the next generation. There are close to 40 neighboring villages within a 5km radius from the proposed school site. The population is close to 20,000 with 95% of people below the poverty line. The area currently has only government schools until a 5km radius and can only educate up to the 5th Grade. The geographical condition of this area has minimal rainfall, making the general occupation of cultivation extremely challenging.

The organization owns 11 acres of land currently for the school to be developed upon.
